TNT Explodes Traditional Values
Teaching New Tolerance (TNT) is exploding traditional values with ever increasing ferocity. Recent News events bring into sharp focus the results of TNT. The newly found federal protection of sodomy, and the fast approaching legalization of homosexual marriage are just two obvious results of TNT. The outlawing of public expressions of Christianity is making slow but steady progress. The Recent Ten Commandment case and the many assaults against the rights of Christian students at the government sponsored public schools shows the rabid animosity of the Godless heathen against prayer and the acknowledgment of a Supreme Creator to whom we are responsible. The invective gets notched up a level when the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is brought into the public sphere. When this happens you can hear the vipers spitting venom from the offices of the ACLU.
The TNT (teaching of New Tolerance) is being off loaded into the minds of impressionable youth by the liberal, antichrist organizations on the left who are given access to the soul of our country's future. The NEA (National Education Association) in league with its allies, N.O.W. (National Organization of Women) and the Pro-death groups (composed of Planned Parenthood, Naral -National organization advocating for and providing comprehensive information on reproductive rights) and other such fetus killing groups are given access to the classrooms where they teach children that a fetus is part of a woman's body, as if it were not a baby with its own heart, feelings, fingerprints, and DNA. Glisten (the gay & lesbian education network) has been invited into classrooms to encourage children to experiment with every imaginable form of perverted premarital sex.
TNT (Teaching New Tolerance) is of paramount importance to the new multicultural way of thinking. One of the groups out in front is called Teaching Tolerance. They say on their website "Teaching Tolerance is proud to help educators bring tolerance into the classroom." Teaching Tolerance is an invention of the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center), founded by Morris Dees. The original mission of the SPLC was to expose the violence and incitement to violence of the KKK. In this, the SPLC surely had the good grace of the LORD. However, in typical liberal altruistic reasoning, the SPLC expanded its goal to include TNT (the teaching of New Tolerance).
Josh McDowell has done an excellent job of explaining the difference between TNT (the teaching of New Tolerance) and the traditional old fashioned meaning of the word, "tolerance"... "For most of my life, I thought I knew what people meant when they used the word "tolerance." But I have discovered that what the word once meant and what it means today are two drastically different things. The new meaning, which I'll refer to as the "new tolerance," stretches far beyond the dictionary's definition of the word... to recognize and respect -others' beliefs, practices, etc. without sharing them and to bear or put up with -someone or something not especially liked. This traditional definition is perfectly compatible with Scripture. In fact, the Bible says we are to "accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God" (Romans 15:17, NIV). This is the same attitude that Paul expressed in his first epistle to the Corinthian church when he explained that love "endureth all things" (13:7, KJV). This type of tolerance differentiates between a person's thoughts or actions and the person himself.
Unfortunately, the dictionary definitions of tolerance no longer capture the full meaning promoted by the "new tolerance;" at least not according to the majority of people and institutions using the term. And this is increasingly true among younger generations. I would estimate that approximately 80 percent of the time that the word "tolerance" is used today - by teachers, the media, government officials, and perhaps even your own children - it is being used to mean the "new tolerance," which says that what every individual believes or says is equally right and equally valid. In other words, all values, beliefs, lifestyles, and truth claims are equal... if I sincerely consider everyone's beliefs, lifestyles, and truth claims as equal to my own (even when they contradict my beliefs, lifestyles, and truth claims), I can no longer claim any genuine conviction regarding my own beliefs. The new tolerance requires me to admit that I may just as easily be as mistaken or misled as my neighbor. If no truth is "more true" than any other "truth," then there is no truth worth defending. And if there is no truth worth defending, there is no room for conviction... When faced with competing truth claims, the only way to arrive at a meaningful conclusion is by investigation. The careful observer must weigh the claims according to the evidence. If someone claims that something is true, we should be able to "test" that claim to determine if it is based on fact... The only way to determine God's true identity is through open-minded consideration of the evidence. Christianity does not revolve around a list of spiritual exercises and practices, but around a core of verifiable, historical facts..." New Tolerance by Josh McDowell
Pastor Errol Horne of GateWay Baptist Church in Australia wrote the following on his website... "Authorities both Government and Religious in Christ's day, throughout history, and today seek a tolerance that is Anti-God, Anti-Christian & Anti-Family. Yes folks, when it comes to Christians preaching, teaching, speaking about the Word of God, about the Lord Jesus Christ, & Salvation, the world command's us to be silent..."
He went on to give the following example of the extremes of TNT (the teaching of New Tolerance)... In Australia their is an Anti Christian Bill being pushed through Parliament claiming Tolerance towards all people and religions. This bill is called "The Social and Religious Tolerance Bill". In this bill, people are entitled to have their own religious belief or no belief at all in anything. If anyone then challenges peoples beliefs in such a way as Peter did in his day and other Christians as well, then you can be accused of lacking Tolerance and end up in front of a court. This has already happened in Victoria where two Muslim women walking by a place that was holding a Bible Study, heard a Christian man teach against Islam, explaining that Christianity was the true religion. Yep, 'you guessed it', they took him to court. He was a protestant so he apologized for his remarks and said he would be more Tolerant in the future. Well if that had of been me or any brothers and sisters in Christ as good ole Baptists there'd be no apology for our mission work, probably resulting in us being sued, and most likely we would be fined by the courts or jailed...
Berit Kjos, on her Crossroads Website tells the following tale... When fifteen year old Kevin walked into his American History class at Cupertino H.S. in CA, he was given a handout. He glanced at the title: "Heterosexuality: Can It be Cured?" Weird, he thought and looked around. Some of his friends were studying it, too. He read on: "Heterosexuality is a condition characterized by a sexual attraction to members of the opposite gender. Many persons, in all cultures, at all times, have been heterosexual.... Whatever the cause of this phenomenon, we can state without doubt that there are many problems associated with heterosexuality, both for the individual and society at large." Curious, Kevin scanned the list of problems. Women were especially vulnerable, it said. They could face sexually transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancy as well as mental and psychological hazards such as a state of homophobia. The suggested treatments included psychotherapy and wide-spread sterilization of the heterosexual population. Was this a joke? The next page gave the source of this bizarre "research". It came from the American Public Health Association Caucus of Gay and Public Health Workers. What was it all about?
What is TNT all about?
Besides the Pro-abortion and pro-homosexual agenda TNT is also a player in campaign finance reform. Yes indeed, we must be nice, we must be quiet, we must not disagree with the liberal media's agenda, especially 60 days before an election. The Supreme Court of the land has recently made a narrow decision barring the special interest groups from buying advertising 60 days before an election, the idea being that money corrupts the system. Actually it is the human heart which is corrupted (Jer 17:9). Political speech has always been in need of money. Without the press and its modern day counterparts of electronic media, political speech would be banished to the barber shop. Because of the rise of TNT, liberals in the media are trying to gain the upper hand by closing the mouths of conservatives, while the liberal media can talk talk talk right up until the last vote.

Tolerance is the buzz word ricocheting around politically correct circles over the past few years. What that really means is that all political, philosophical and theologically correct viewpoints must be tolerated, and any other viewpoints must be mercilessly squelched. The bottom line of this whole rhetoric is that the Christian viewpoint is hateful and must be silenced.... Throughout the country and throughout the world a new world religion is being drummed into our thoughts by countless organizations yelling that hate and intolerance originate with Christianity and that there has to be a better way to promote love, peace, and environmentalism. That way boils down to global pantheism, where god is in everything, especially nature, and everything is god.... The only people who can't join the converging streams toward universal oneness are devout monotheists, such as Jews, Christians and xxxx, who base their faith on the Bible or the xxxx. Their religions preach one God, one sacred Book, and one door to eternal life. They can accept no other and must refuse to model their beliefs to fit an all inclusive global spirituality. As such, groups refusing to go along with the new global ethic of universal "tolerance" will not be tolerated in the name of tolerance. This means that Biblical Christians are on a collision course with the new paradigms of thought that are emerging and taking root in all out public institutions... Taking the tolerance ethic further, we now have a move toward the codification of thought in "hate crimes." Traditional values that clash with the new global standards for tolerance have become tantamount to hate, and Christians who cling to Biblical boundaries are labeled both intolerant and hateful, no matter how kind their actions. Today's social leaders have redefined hate, identified a new group of haters, and are gathering public support for monitoring and punishing the guilty.
The Question of redefining the language to shape the culture in an Orwellian overture definitely comes into play as several authors have noted. The Following comes from the Narth Website... Once, tolerance was defined as recognizing and respecting others' beliefs and practices even without sharing them. Tolerance would often necessarily entail enduring, or putting up with, someone or something not especially liked. But today's definition of tolerance is very different. Now, a "tolerant" person views all values, beliefs, lifestyles, and truth claims as equal. This language shift is eloquently described in Josh McDowell and Bob Hostetler's 1998 book, The New Tolerance. Where this new tolerance reigns, there can be no hierarchy of truth, and no standard by which to discern between competing truth claims. Every man's position must be praised and considered equally valid. This is because the new tolerance considers all truth claims to be mere opinions, not absolutes that are true across time and cultures, but culturally created and culturally conditioned ideas. By this new standard, any system of belief which claims to be transcendent and absolute, making truth claims that are not qualified as relative according to time, place, and person- is considered to be "intolerant." In a society which scorns absolutes and denies the existence of any natural law written on the heart, or any intrinsic human nature, there can be only one universal virtue- tolerance -and that virtue must be enforced with almost religious fervor. The authors say this state of affairs in ominously reminiscent of the language of "Newspeak" from George Orwell's novel 1984. Among the Orwellian tactics now in use, they say, is the labeling of any disagreement or objection phobic...as in "homophobic."
Narth is the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, founded in 1992, is composed of psychiatrists, and other behavioral scientists, as well as laymen in fields such as law, religion, and education. They also make the following observation... During the last 25 years, powerful political pressures have done much to erode scientific study of homosexuality. As a result, there is now great misunderstanding surrounding this issue. Because of the angry tenor of the debate, many researchers have been intimidated, we believe, into trading the truth for silence... Fifty years ago, researcher C.D. King offered a very useful definition of "normal." The practical wisdom of that definition is still apparent. Normality, he said, is "that which functions according to its design." As clinicians, we have witnessed the intense suffering caused by homosexuality, which many of our members see as a "failure to function according to design." Homosexuality distorts the natural bond of friendship that would naturally unite persons of the same sex. It threatens the continuity of traditional male-female marriage... a bond which is naturally anchored by the complementarity of the sexes, and has long been considered essential for the protection of children. In males, homosexuality it is associated with poor relationship with father; difficulty individuating from mother; a sense of masculine deficit; and a persistent belief of having been different from, and misunderstood by, same-sex childhood peers. In adulthood we also see a persistent pattern of maladaptive behaviors and a documented higher level of psychiatric complaints.
In Brave New World, Aldous Huxley describes the seductive "feelies" that compensate for the loss of freedom. First among them is sexual license :
"As political and economic freedom diminishes, sexual freedom tends compensatingly to increase. And the dictator... will do well to encourage that freedom. In conjunction with the freedom to daydream under the influence of dope, movies and the radio, it will help to reconcile his subjects to the servitude which is their fate."
Indeed, if the Devil can draw our youth into sensual lifestyles, they may forever miss the narrow way that our Lord Jesus Christ spoke of. Sexual diseases may cut lives short. The simple distraction of youthful pleasure may blind and lead astray until one is hopelessly lost.
Another effect of TNT is the rising chorus for Unity among the ecumenical churches. The ranker has gotten so high that even in denominations which have had historical reasons for being proud of their stand on doctrinal issues have caved in to the backslidden chorus. Although the Choral Leader is the same, and His rules remain the same, many believe they will be able to sing at the recital even if they refuse to put on the robes of righteousness. Some are calling for JingleBell Rock instead of the Rock of Ages.
Q; Why won't Jesus attend the Catholic version of the Wedding Supper of the Lamb?
A; Because, they plan to eat the host!
A joke like this is funny because it points out the foolishness of Catholic Dogma (the Eucharistic sacrifice and Transubstantiation both foolish dogma and traditions of men, not Bible Doctrine).

TNT (The New Tolerance) says we mustn't tell jokes like these because they're mean and they divide us. TNT is blind to the fact that it is the Word of God that divides us... "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Heb 4:12)
The call for, "Unity - Unity!" repeats the mindless mantra, we should be "one in the spirit". Indeed, those who are in the spirit are one already. Christian brothers and sisters can and do gather together, lift voices and hands in praise to the most high God in heaven and shout 'Hallelujah', while those who call themselves Christians look on aghast like Michal's disdain for David her husband and king, when he danced for joy before the Lord for all to see.
Conclusion;
TNT (Teaching New Tolerance) is prerequisite for the final stages to be set before the second coming of Messiah Jesus. The people will tolerate anything except the truth like the Romans and their many Gods. "...because they received not the love of the truth... God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie..." (2Thes 2:10-11)
TNT is making smooth the way for the homosexual agenda. TNT is making smooth the way for campaign finance reform and the liberal media's push for power. TNT is active in the liberal and lost ecumenical church in the call for "Unity - Unity!" at the expense of doctrinal truth. In each of these areas TNT is an important player in the race for globalism. Indeed the time is drawing nigh.
